FishBytes is designed to focus on capturing authentic fishing experiences and validating catch photos. As a result, we don't currently support importing data from other apps. We're always evaluating new features, and integration with other platforms might be considered in the future.
Your catch information is stored locally on your phone in a private database. You can choose to sync your data to the cloud later when you are later connected to the internet.

When you're connected to the internet, you can access satellite map views and sync your data. Offline functionality is a key feature of FishBytes.

For a more hands-free experience, you can pair a Flic2 Bluetooth button to your phone. Then a simple click of the button can instantly log a bite or hookup, letting you record lost fish and fight times without touching your phone. This is especially useful for situations where you want to stay focused on your fishing.
One of our core principles is allowing users to spend more time focusing on fishing and nature, not with a phone in our hands. (Bit ironic, I know) By automating some of the data entry, you can focus more of your attention on the fishing experience.

Currently, FishBytes doesn't have an export feature. We understand the value of having your data accessible, so it's on our roadmap to add this functionality. If FishBytes were to ever cease operations before we could add this feature, we would provide a method for you to download your data.
Yes, you can delete your data from the app by going to the Account tab and selecting 'Delete Account'. Visit our account deletion guide for step-by-step instructions on permanently removing your data.
